Country Project: Country Choice & Peer-Reviewed Pre-Research Activity

Meet in LINC and direct students to LINC for assistance with choosing a world country on which to focus for the country project by conducting a little preliminary research. Students will be given a list of world countries (categorized by which textbook chapter the individual countries are included) which I will share with the LINC staff, but students are instructed to choose a country they like based on the country’s component physical and cultural geography (potential natural and cultural resources) and looking forward to either preserving or conserving individual aspects of physical and cultural geography. This is a complex decision based on learning objectives in previous learning modules.

Deliverable: Simple MLA style annotated bibliography-type list with: country choice, several potential natural resources (physical geography), several potential cultural resources (cultural geography), and (maybe) one potential hybrid natural and cultural resource (hybrid physical/cultural). Each potential resource in the list must also include an encyclopedic citation where they found this basic information.
